PERFORMER, TRAINER, PRODUCER, DESIGNER

DEDICATED TO CREATIVE EXCELLENCE

As the founder and CEO of Calia-tivity Productions and communications for the past 15 years, I have chosen a life of passion and creativity in the performing and visual arts. As a creator, I have been fortunate to help many creative visionaries to realize their dreams - now let me help you with yours.

WHO IS CALIA?

Daytime Emmy and multiple James Beard award-winning Producer experienced in television, film, theatre and live events, I have had the pleasure of working in and around the entertainment industry for many years.  I now use my knowledge and expertise to help others to succeed and bring their dreams to reality.

My extensive experience in production includes twelve years working on Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s Production team. During that time, I was a part of the production and production management teams of The Martha Stewart Show, Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn, Emeril’s Table with Chef Emeril Lagasse, Martha Stewart’s Apprentice Finale, Martha Stewart’s Cooking School, Martha Bakes, The Live Finale of the 45th Annual Pillsbury Bake-off, Whatever, Martha! and Whatever, You’re Wrong as well as seven Hallmark holiday television specials featuring Martha Stewart and her celebrity guests, while also producing numerous ad campaigns, print projects, web specials, applications and other programing.

In theatre, I started my career at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center where I was the Program Coordinator and Associate Director for Development in George White's office (George is the founder and President-Emeritus of the O'Neill).  While I was there, I had the pleasure of working with playwrights August Wilson, Herman D. Farrell, III and Joe DiPietro and was a coordinator for the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Center.

On Broadway, at Richard Frankel Productions, I was a part of the team that conceived and promoted the ill-fated Broadway Hall of Fame.  This short lived stint introduced me to my great friend and mentor, the writer and activist, Trish Vradenburg for whom I was a press manager, assistant, and from whom I learned so much.

At National Dance Institute, I was the assistant to, Kennedy and Academy Award-winner and MacArthur Fellow, Jacques d'Amboise.  While there, I was involved in all facets of production, ranging from fundraising, to writing, to performing, teaching and setting up the annual show at the Delacorte Theatre in Manhattan and at the Danny Kaye Playhouse.  I was also the tour manager for the Company’s 50th Anniversary Celebration tour in Geneva, Switzerland.

In addition to my creative background, I have had the pleasure of learning team building and office management skills at the International consulting firm of McKinsey and Company and later in the President’s office of The French Petroleum Institute where I was a part of the merger of HRI International and IFP and later the transition to Axens, USA.

CayFilm is a project that I truly enjoyed being a part of.  As a part of the board of advisors to the film festival and an advisor to the Cayman Media Academy, I worked on many facets of the festival. In that capacity I produced the Food in Film part of the festival with special guest, Eric Ripert and produced the film of the cook-off filmed by the Academy Students.
