I never thought the day would come when I would be performing cabaret via Zoom. Yet with the onset of COVID19, that too has come to pass. Thank goodness, there are producers out there who are still eager to keep the intimacy and storytelling format of Cabaret alive. Performer and Producer, Harold Sanditen has done just that with his open mic at Crazy Coq's, and I am oh so thankful that he has done so.
By keeping his cabaret open mic alive and well he has done two things: 1) given performers hope and a reason to keep practicing and working, and 2) he has reminded us all that when this lockdown ends, cabaret singers will still have a place to call home.
Bravo, Harold and thank you for keeping this art form alive and well and growing your performer base to performers from around the globe.
