Good morning Creative Signature community.

​On Tuesday I received a note from a cousin in Poland.  She reached out to send me warm wishes on General Tadeusz Jordan-Rozwadowski's birthday — to mark his 160th birthday on May 19th. She wanted me to be aware of the fact that his legacy is finally being recognized by the Polish government. There's a statue going up in his honor, this year is being recognized as his year. At that moment, I realized that he is so valued by so many wonderful people who have been inspired by him, by his legacy — and then I remembered what Grandpa Joe had told me. Because of that I wanted to take action on behalf of our family. His legacy is covered by very intelligent and diligent thinkers. It was time for us to put his legacy to work for the next generation.​

Because here is what my grandpa Joe always told me — and he was the General's son, so he knew better than anyone. He said our family looks forward.  Our legacy is to create a better place today for the next generation. That is the work. That is what matters.​

On his birthday — we honour him. We are proud of him. We celebrate everything he gave and everything he sacrificed. Now we roll up our sleeves and we get to work. Because the greatest tribute to someone who built something extraordinary is to build something extraordinary yourself.​

That is what The General Tadeusz Jordan-Rozwadowski Scholarship will be. A launchpad. For the next generation of leaders, diplomats, storytellers, and scientists who will shape the world ahead.​

That is Grandpa Joe's lesson. That is mine too.

Think about that today. Where is your creative home? Not your office. Not your title. The place — physical or metaphorical — where you do your best work and feel most like yourself. That is worth knowing. That is worth showing.
